My goal as a photographer is to engage the viewer in a narrative. I want you to join me in the image, and be compelled by it to sense a story. An empty bench might be where someone is coming — or just left, perhaps will come back for what was left there, or perhaps intends to meet someone there. There are other seating arrangements I am drawn to -- people seated in the same space but seeming to be so far apart, or chairs lined up and either no longer of service or waiting for something to happen. I hope this collection sparks your curiosity to imagine the story.
